International Festival of Arts and Culture

What fun would a festival be without interesting and exotic food? IFAC 2008 will feature many booths with a variety of ethnic dishes prepared by area cultural groups, churches,
and non-profits. Whether your tastes run to souvlaki, kolache, or cafe latte, your
taste buds will be running back for more!

And if you belong to a non-profit group that would like to share its culinary art
and culture with several thousand people, contact us at the address below.

Perhaps, you're looking for a painting to cover that blank spot above the couch. Then, come to IFAC 2008 . Area artists and craftsmen will be offering paintings, photography, sculptures, and other examples of the visual arts.

If you are an artist or artisan from Central Indiana, contact us at the address

Bring your kids. IFAC 2008 will have a whole area set up for children with plenty
of room to paint, glue, or chalk a masterpiece. If you have the next Rembrandt
in your family, don't miss this great opportunity for him or her to show off some
talent.

Don't forget yourself! We're looking for jazz singers, bluegrass groups,
barbershoppers, garage bands, dance troupes, chamber ensembles, alternative,
hip hop, doowop, oompah, beebop, or whatever - you name it!

It is with deep regret that we inform you that the 2008 International Festival of Arts and Culture scheduled for June 14, has been cancelled due to economic conditions. Two of our major sponsors are no longer in business, a few other major sponsors could not maintain support of the festival at the previous level, and we were unable to secure enough new money to fund the event.

The City of Anderson plans to hold a scaled-down cultural festival in September. For more information about that event, contact:
